Making a Difference

At Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, students receive so much more than an ordinary education. "Located on Mount Greylock in Massachusetts, Ilvermorny was founded in the 17th century by a pureblood witch, her no-maj husband, and their adopted sons. Since this school was founded partially by a no-maj it is one of the most accepting schools of all blood statuses. After being founded the school adopted some similarities that were borrowed from the already established Hogwarts. Most noticeably being that there are four houses. These houses Wampus, Thunderbird, Horned Serpent, and Pukwudgie were named according to one of the four founders favorite magical creature. Students here are also sorted into their house on their first day upon arrival." (The New Era, Ilvermorny)
